Experience Bordeaux like never before
Hi, we’re Julie and Fabien from Beyond Bordeaux! We’ve designed the best free guided walking tour in Bordeaux to help you explore the city like never before !
The best free walking tour in Bordeaux!
We designed our walking tour in Bordeaux to be different. Like you, we enjoy joining walking tours when we travel.
But let’s be honest, many of them feel the same.

Of course, we’re not reinventing the wheel here! A walking tour is still a walking tour.
But we wanted to explore Bordeaux from a different angle.
Intrigued? Come and see for yourself: it’s free!
2 hours to visit the historical city center of Bordeaux on foot
We planned this tour to last about 2 hours, but don’t be surprised if we linger a little longer.
It’s not the topography: Bordeaux is flat and easy to walk. But we love to take our time.
This city is full of hidden gems, and while we know most of them, no one can know them all!
Mascarons as our common thread
Let’s be honest: it’s hard to go completely off the beaten path in Bordeaux.
Visitors want to see the old city center, admire the churches, check out the main attractions, and maybe even shop a little. But on our tour, we add a touch of mystery and symbolism to your visit.

Bordeaux is home to around 3,000 mascarons, intricately carved faces and figures that adorn its buildings. But these aren’t just decorative details. They reveal secrets and stories you won’t find in any guidebook.
We’ve handpicked the most beautiful and intriguing mascarons in Bordeaux’s historic center and can’t wait to share their meanings with you.
Join us for an unforgettable journey through art, history, and hidden tales!
